"Hongdae Playground" K-Drama Location Street View

About Hongdae Playground
Hongdae Playground or Hongik Children's Park  located in front of Hongik University's entrance. One of Hongdae's landmarks. Flea markets, band performances, and various events are held here. Galleries, museums, and nightlife surround the playground.Always vibrant and energetic as a popular hangout place and a cultural space for young people. The epicenter for indie bands and underground music groups.


As far as I know, MBC K-Drama Coffee Prince (2007) & SBS K-Drama A Gentleman's Dignity (2012) filmed in Hongdae Playground. Scene Coffee Prince : Where Choi Han-kyul (played by Gong Yoo) bought Han Yoo-joo (played by Chae Jung-an) a hat from a street vendor . Scene A Gentleman's Dignity : Hong Se-ra (played by Yoon Se-ah) convinces Im Tae-san (played by Kim Soo-ro) to wear skinny jeans.

Option 1  
If you come from Hongik University Station (Seoul Subway Line 2), go out of Exit 9 to Yanghwa-ro street .Walk about 146 meters, turn left to Hongik-ro street. Follow about 342 metres Hongik-ro until you find Hongik University's entrance. Turn right to Wausan-ro street, you'll find Hongdae Playground. Total distance from Hongik University Station Exit 9 to Hongdae Playground about 568 metres.

Option 2
If you come from 1st Shop of Coffee Prince, walk about 536 metres follow Wausan-ro street until you find Hongik University's entrance. Turn right to Wausan-ro street, you'll find Hongdae Playground. Total distance from 1st Shop of Coffee Prince to Hongdae Playground about 616 metres.
